Castor Wheel Bed Leg 145mm in three (3) screw-in steel threaded rod sizes. Thread sizes are traditional Imperial 5/16", 3/8" and Metric M8. The leg construction is strong moulded nylon plastic with twin wheel castor. Sold as individual legs or in sets of 6, 9 or 18 legs. Insert Screws for wooden frames to suit each thread size are available as a separate item.

This style of 135mm high castor wheel bed leg is used extensively on commercial bed frames in New Zealand and Australia. The nylon plastic used is guaranteed to be from original resin and no recycled plastic is used in its manufacture which can weaken critical areas on the castor body and twin wheels.  The twin wheel system has been proven over many years use.  A strong steel rod passes right through the body of the leg and is threaded at the top for screwing into a t/nut or Insert Screw.  Three (3) thread options are available.

Imperial 5/16" - this size is slighly less than 8mm and has a different pitch to the M8

Metric M8 - this size is exactly 8mm

Imperial 3/8" - this size is approximately 9.5mm

The Imperial 5/16" and Metric M8 sizes are very close but because of the diameter difference and different pitch used THEY WILL NOT INTERCHANGE

TO PURCHASE REPLACEMENT CASTOR WHEEL BED LEGS YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW WHICH OF THE ABOVE THREE (3) THREAD SIZES ARE ALREADY FITTED TO THE UNDERSIDE OF YOUR BED FRAME.

To establish which thread size is already on your bed frame you can either return an existing leg to us for sizing or take either an existing metal fitting or an existing bed leg to a general hardware store to establish the correct thread size.  If you don't know the thread size and you wish to raise you bed height there are alternatives on this website at the following link /category/bed_risers.html
